I do my windows every 3 months except for in the winter when it is too cold to open the windows . We have 23 windows in our house & it takes me all day to do all of them . It's not too bad because we do have the tilt in windows which makes cleaning easier , but it's still an all day job .  While cleaning this morning I found a wasp nest attached to one of the upper windows , but I sprayed it with wasp killer & they fell like a sack of potatoes to the ground . I use windex & paper towels to clean my windows but  years ago I used vinegar & newspaper , the ink from the newspaper would get all over my hands , so I started wearing rubber gloves . Then one day my neighbor told me about Windex & paper towels & it was a wonderful change for me , mind you this was over 50 years ago  when I was in my 20's . I asked my neighbor how often she did her windows & she told me she had them done once by a window service 10 years ago .......seems too long ago for me , but she says when it rains the rain cleans her windows naturally (LMAO). Guess I'm old fashioned & I want to see out of my windows so I clean them myself & I think every 3 months is enough to  clean them inside & out . So what is your opinion on cleaning windows & how often is enough ? 4951

I do them twice a year(maybe), except for the front window in the Lady Lair. It's floor to ceiling basically, and the lower 2-3 feet of it gets a ton of handprints from our toddler and constant slobbers & nose marks from the doggies. This one gets done very often...Probably twice a month. Sidenote: This is as annoying of a chore as dishes. I'd rather wash/dry/fold 100 loads of kid laundry and whites, before washing a dish or cleaning a window.  4951

@Fallon...thanks I will check that out , we have a 2 story colonial house &  if they can be sprayed in cold weather to get them clean that would be awesome . @BBQ guy... I agree , but if I don't do them they would never get done , just like all the other "jobs" I do around the house ...wish I would win the lottery & then I could kick back & hire someone else to all my work ....sigh . 4951

@SandyKnee...what does that mixture do to the grass & flowers ?  I went through 2 rolls of paper towels & almost a full bottle of Windex cleaning our 23 windows today , so being able to wash & walk away would be awesome. 4951
