My Apple TV broke and hubby wants a Roku. Anybody have one? Pros and cons? 4951

We have a Roku and an Apple TV-6 of one 1/2 of the other. We have Hulu and Netflix and the organization looks a little different but it's the same. We did get a lot of free channels that we don't watch. I have a hard enough time keeping up with all the shows I watch on Hulu and Netflix 4951

We have 2 Roku devices, and we enjoy them.  Mostly we watch Netflix and Amazon movies, and TV shows we've missed. 4951

I have a roku and it just makes me even more annoyed with suddenlink, since suddenlink hasn't signed contracts with all of the content providers. So even though Roku supports WatchESPN, Suddenlink viewers can only view some of the clips, and none of the live broadcasts, solely due to contract issues.  Same with ABC and some others. But overall Roku is reliable and I am able to watch a majority of the shows that I want, when I want.  4951

I have the apple tv to be able to easily put pictures on the tv. I like that Roku offers Amazon.  For now we have prime but never watch movies on it. 4951

We have had a Roku for 3 years.  Love it!!  We use Hulu Plus, Netflix and Amazon Prime.  About to subscribe to Acorn TV so we can catch up on Murdoch Mysteries. 4951
