I need ideas for the twins' 18th birthday. I want to do something special that is not going to break the bank. I thought about just doing a family outing, but I think it would be nice if they had some friends there too. I need ideas! And no strip clubs @mm4731!!! 4951

@donnatella: I was thinking maybe Palm Beach at Moody Gardens. I've never been there, but it looks nice.

You can camp at Lake Ouachita too.  It is the cleanest clearest deepest lake you can imagine.  Lots of people take scuba diving thereEmoticonThe camp sites are super clean.  And you can rent canoes too.Or take them and you to a really nice hotel for one night.  Like the one at the Woodlands that has the water park attached to it.Or plan a surprise party with their friends, and just do a cookout and cake.  Sometimes being at home and having friends over is the best party ever.

@Fallon: I like the BBQ and you have the pool.  This way you can just get some burgers and some music and they will be good to go.  We used to always have parties when I was that age and that's exactly what we did. Then they are not so limited on the amount of people that can enjoy it.  You could also make a theme out of it like a Hawaiian Luau and get everyone laid as they come in..lol..we have done that before and then you can do like a watermelon sculpture for fruit and make a virgin fruity drink and pineapple chicken.

My son's friends had a birthday function at Chain O Lakes. I think it was their 17th or 18th birthday (a set of twins). They had a blast. It was a camp out with about 10 boys.

Another idea would be to have friends over and rent a bounce house & a super slide. 4951

throw a dancing party at ur crib. let them trash the place................It will teach them to not have such a  party in the futrue if they have  to clean up. Oh, hide your tiny bottles in your purse and closet a lot better. Better yet, bring with you when you split said crib. Movie, necking etc with your man. Trust the boys. They are afterall......adults.   4951

My son wanted a party at Dave & Buster when he turned 16.  He invited a few friends and they had dinner there and played pool, etc.  He really enjoyed that party.Recently one of his girl friends had a mystery dinner party at her house.  They were told what part they had and had to dress the part.  He really enjoyed that.   4951
