Had a 2 day allergy attack and used Nasonex Once! Since of smell GONE! 2 days now...anyone else ever lost smell? Oh and I'm cleared up and still can't smell. Not even minced garlic in a jar with my nose right over it. 4951

call your doctor & ask , it sounds to me like you have a severe sinus infection  , you may think you are "cleared up" but you really are not...get checked out  1st. 4951

call your doctor & ask , it sounds to me like you have a severe sinus infection  , you may think you are "cleared up" but you really are not...get checked out  1st.

@Indytat:   Nasal sprays containing zinc have been proven to cause a loss of the sense of smell.   Sometimes it is temporary, but sometimes permanent.  Those sprays should be banned or have a large warning label on them

Call your doc but yeah allergy sprays can cause a loss of smell. My sense of smell has been greatly reduced due to a life long battle with allergies 4951
