There are a few car dealerships near by but I always question how good they are. I don't think any of them have won a service or sales award and many of them look very beaten down. I went to Sterling McCall Honda recently for their Houston Grand Prix promotion and instantly got the stink eye once they found out I was just there for a test drive. Poor service and attentional all around and it really put me off! I've gotten better service buying a paint brush at Lowes than I did looking at an expensive car... 4951

a fond memory is from a few years back shopping for a vehicle. i was told by a salesman at one dealership 'oh you're a waste of time. you can't afford that'....so when i did buy the same vehicle from another place, i made sure i dropped by to have a conversation with his boss and show the boss the paid in full papers on the vehicle 4951

The worst is Texan gmc. We went there about 3 times trying to buy a car. They don't know jack squat about how the gm discount works!!!!!! We pay what any gm employee pays and they just couldn't get that thru there thick skull 4951

I would NEVER, EVER, NEVER set foot in a Planet dealership. They are crooked, dishonest, rude, detestable! 4951

I shopped online when I was looking for a late model F-250.  Found the one we wanted up in Dallas.  First time it needed service I took it to Planet and they were everything you dread about dealerships.  Swore I'd never set foot in there again.  I've been going to Anderson Ford up on this side of Cleveland since and have had nothing but fantastic service by them.  IMHO it's totally worth the drive.  4951

Several years ago was shopping for Honda Civic for daughter heading for college. Sterling McCall was obvious choice. We found a used Civic in mint condition on their lot. No trade in, cash up front. The salesman did not want to negotiate was rude and essentially told us to go elsewhere. He played hardball and so we did indeed go elsewhere. SInce then we have purchase 1 civic and two Honda Pilots from Streator Smith in Conroe. A dealer's best salesman is a happy and satisfied customer. We also use their service department for all OLF change outs and maintenance. 4951

@Corsigal: I agree,, I had dealer try to hid the sales tag in his jacket,, but when I asked him where it was because it was in the back seat, he said he didn't see it. My kid said,,,, Yes you did, you put it in your jacket.

I looked for months to find exactly what I wanted, and it was NOT in any of our local dealerships. They grossly over price their inventory, are rude and not helpful. I found my car in Spring. Honda of Spring has a great inventory. We bought 2 vehicles from Tejas Toyota and the experience was awful ( this was 10+ years ago though). 4951

I had a couple not so great (can[t call them bad however) experiences with Sterling McCall Honda 's service department.Also when I was looking for a car last year, I had a not so great experience with the sales staff and dealership in general.I ended up going to and buying from Streeter-Smith Honda in Conroe. 4951

We have always had great buying experiences at Planet. I think it depends on who helps you. 4951

@aidensmom: I 100% agree with that. We bought our last vehicle at Spring Dodge, because the wifey wasn't happy with the staff at Planet Dodge. She prefers the "wining & dining" from salesman, and obviously ran into the wrong guy there. Me personally, I want a salesperson that's quick and to the point...I don't need my **** kissed.

A good Kingwood dealership is cyber motorcars. They always have a nice selection and are priced right. I have had a few friends go there and I have heard nothing but good things. 4951

@squirtismyboy - I went to Cyber about 2 years ago and found the cars overpriced and dirty. The person we spoke with said he could have the car cleaned if needed!  My thoughts are - don't put out a car on the lot if it is not ready to be sold. There were so many cigarette holes in the interior, there was no way I would have purchased anyway. 4951

I have been going to Sterling McCall Honda for 15 years and have purchased 3 cars from them including my last one. Generally, my experience has been very good to good over the years. I have used their shuttle many a time to get home or to get to work while they work on my car. I have also been provided a free rental car when the repair has warranted it. That has been invaluable. My service advisor is Steve and he goes the extra mile for me. I have tried other places in Kingwood a few times but have gone back to the Honda service department. 4951

We bought our CRV through Sterlimg McCall's internet sales. Our salesman was very good (older gentleman, but I don't remember his name). Also, the one time we had the car in for maintenance, the experience was very good (Steve was also out service advisor). 4951

@jls2:

That's weird. 2 years ago is when my buddy bought his expedition in near new condition. He was super happy and the price beat every other deal he'd seen from Sugarland to Kingwood 4951
