We have always used Kingwood Air Solutions, and absolutely adore Mike from there........They came out a few months back to service our AC, and unfortunately our unit had a leak........And of course it was out of warranty.........A "Stop Leak" product was used, but to no avail........We were having to get the guys back out every other month it seemed to add Freon...  .....And Freon isn't cheap, dudes.........So, Mike gave us a quote for a new unit, and although my hubb (and I) both fully respect and trust the peeps at Kingwood Air Solutions, he decided to call MADD and get a second opinion.........Charlie with MADD Air came out, fully inspected our crib, and actually showed my hubb all of his findings........And not only did he determine that we definitely need a new unit, and all of the other AC terminology goodies, but that we basically had crap for insulation.......Well, they came out yesterday, got the new unit and everything installed, and got all of the new insulation sprayed in.......They also installed us a new digital programmable thermostat - the hubb's new toy!....And everything is Energy Star Rated for efficiency.....  ...Anywho, the new AC Unit runs so smooth and quiet.......And our house has been exceptionally chill.....The service that we received was just bar none........And the price was shockingly quite less that what we had anticipated that it was going to be.... ....No wonder this crew is top rated on Angie's List..........Plus, it's family ran - family operated........And they're also a KDC Supporter..........So, that's even more of a reason to support these guys........We're just SO over-the-moon with the service and work that MADD Air did, that I couldn't help but throw these dudes a mad shout out.....Thank you to Charlie, and the whole crew at MADD AIR.....  4951

Thanks, @herron1345. I have been looking all week. Now, I am taking a break and my daughter and I are headed up to Nacogdoches for freshmen orientation. I am staying in one dorm and she is staying in another one! 4951

MADD Air is the BEST! Charlie is awesome! Last year we got a top of the line furnace and a unit, and it didn't break the bankEmoticon I would recommend them to everyone. 4951

we had a problem with our heating unit towards the end of the season. Nothing we noticed but during a routine inspection. My normal company wanted X amount of dollars and I found it to be high. We called in Kingwood Air Solutions & his quote was lower for a freaking newbie....  Then it got warm & didn't need heat & have never had it fixed but I wanted to call Madd.  I think I will call them in & get info on this....Thanks 4951

I agree 100% my realtor suggest Charlie from MADD AIR when we first bought our home down here to go through the AC/Heating System to see why it wasn't working, it was bought on foreclosure so it was as is.  Charlie came out and went through the entire system and explained how the system works and gave me the run down on the vents and filter changes since I knew so little since I am from the north and have never had AC prior to moving down here.  He found that the issue with our AC unit was the capacitor, he fixed it and cleaned our system and it was very reasonalbly priced.  We actually have a service agreement with them and they service our unit in the spring and fall and never have issues.  They are #1 in my book! 4951

Good to know. Wish I had used them a couple years ago.
I am kinda stuck with Goode AC. Bought a unit and coil from them and have a warranty for the next 8 years. I can't really use another company unless I get permission from the manufacturer.

My starter kit went out a few weeks ago and cost $300 to replace. It's the one part not covered. That price is rediculously high.
I need to call the manufacturer to see who else I can use. 4951
