Hello All, Does anyone know of a good affordable plumber? Our pipes seem to be clogged and it's leaking through the downstairs ceiling Emoticon 4951

I'll third Kenneth's, although I haven't used him myself, I've sent him over to my moms twice, super nice guy, honest and fair pricing, wouldn't use anybody else (hope one of my good friends that's a plumber isn't reading this, lol). 4951

Sounds more like the AC overflow pipe is plugged and not dripping to the outside as it should or it could even be the water heater drain....  Clogged plumbing usually does not leak through the ceiling.  May need an AC guy too. 4951

Thanks everyone for your recommendations per Kenneth's VM message he's closed until Monday and Eli's number was a wrong number so I looked him up kw.com but that number is disconnected. Its so weird because we leave and turn the water iff from outside come home with the upstairs sink overflowing with water and thats when it gets on the floor and through the ceiling. We went up in the attic and there is no water up there so where is it even coming from? Grrrrr the start of a great weekend I guess. 4951

@helstonm:  As @tatertot58 mentioned, it is probably your drain under your A/C unit in your attic.  All condensed water from the A/C unit falls into a drip pan.  The drip pan is then piped down to a water drain on the second floor (typically a bathroom).  Either the drip pan pipe or the drain pipe it is connected to can become plugged.  If that happens, the water in the drip pan will build up.  Many A/C systems have a high-level switch which will prevent the A/C unit from running any more (until the water is drained).  Since your sink is overflowing, it sounds like the drain pipe is plugged.  The water is flowing from the drip pan and backing into your sink.  Good luck and let us know what you find out!

Yep. It's your drip pan that's plugged up. Easy do it yourself fix. You can Google it to see exactly how to do it. 4951
