OMG. I just left Famous Footwear over by HEB in Kingwood.  I'm all stressed out!  The whole time I was in there, a lady was letting her three small children (maybe 4, 6 and 8) play TAG!!! They were hiding behind aisles and running at top speed.  She just allowed them to do it!  Yesterday, I saw kids rough housing in front of the registers while the parents payed absolutely no attention whatsoever.  WTH??? I NEVER< EVER let my kids act like that in a store.  They knew better than to even try to pull that crap.  I so badly wanted to say something, but bit my tongue. I'm going to call the store manager and complain.  The salesmen could have had the lady tell her kids to stop.  I got the hiccups in there cause they made me so nervous! 4951

The employees are too worried about being "rude," and the Mom wasn't worried enough. 4951

I remember going with two of my friends to a restaurant.  We each had a four year old.  One of them let their child roam all over the place.  The other friend was letting her daughter sing out loud and thought it was cute.  I kept on telling them that they should not be doing that in a restaurant.  Well, the manager came over to tell them to stop and was going to kick us out.  I was never so mortified in my life.  That was the last time I went to a restaurant with them!  People think that their children should be allowed to do anything!  I would bring crayons and activities to keep my son occupied when my husband and I went to a restaurant.  4951

I'm the mom you hear in stores telling my children

Don't touch that
Be careful
You have to stay within 2 inches of me
Do not talk so loud
Say excuse me

Young children left unattended is negligent parenting IMO. I was at Target Tuesday afternoon and a mom and her daughter were looking at something in one of the aisles. While the pair was talking with their backs to the child, the mother's maybe 1 year old son was standing up in the child seat at the front of the cart. As I turned the corner, I let out a big gasp and jumped in front of the child for fear he was going to lose his balance and tumble forward onto the ground. The mom yelled at the child and placed him back into a sitting position. No thank you, no nothin'.

I have been known to walk out of the grocery store even ... just parked my buggy full of food and walked out because of parents not controlling their children!  I never feared anyone when it came to punishing my child in public.  I would pop a bootey anytime they did things.  Believe me it only had to happen once. What I dont get it adults that shop and throw all the merchandise on the floors!  UGH!  I am OCD and find myself picking up things off the floor and hanging them back up. I just can't stand to see it.  Ross is the worst. I refuse to even walk into one.  Not after I tripped on about 20 shoes on the floor and busted my knee.  No I didn't sue and wont because it wasn't the stores fault but ignorant people that have no respect for others. 4951

@angiekaye: I was at Target in Humble right before closing Sunday night, and that place looked like it had been looted. There was garbage on the floor, and random items everywhere. I even commented to the cashier about how people leave the store in a shambles. Wal mart is even worse. It's sad Emoticon

Somewhat off topic but I'm never amazed anymore about what people will do in a public place. When I worked at Kingwood Athletic Club years ago, I discovered just how people could be total pigs. As manager on duty one afternoon, I discovered an adult had defecated in a shower stall, only a few feet away from the toilet area, and left it there. Just so gross. 4951

@topcat: That's about what it looked like the Saturday night before Easter. Then I went to see you and drank vicariously through you and BooBear. Well, BooBear had stopped drinking at that point.  Either way, I really needed a vicarious drink.

When I first moved here I worked at JC Penney's in the mall, home dept. We had to stay after the store closed to clean up. People are pigs............ People would throw dirty diapers under the racks & they weren't even secured together, it was just so gross & how many people would leave Starbucks coffee cups everywhere. Some were pretty much a full cup. I truly didn't want to touch them.  Just garbage everywhere imaginable. @Love2Run   Hope they had a crew to clean that & not you. I would of been sick................. 4951

@thegoodwife - I did clean it up as I didn't want any KAC members to encounter it, before the cleaning crew could get to it. That was part of my job but my LEAST favorite part. 4951
