Are any of you members of the Kingwood Country Club?  We are thinking of joining...not much of a golfer but for the tennis, fitness and waterpark advantages.  Just looking for some opinions on the country club to help with our decision.

Thanks! 4951

If you don't golf you can join for all the other stuff. The waterpark and the tennis courts are great. The gym is ok. The food is very good.  4951

Like stated above, you don't need to buy a golf membership.  I like the gym, fairly quiet has about everything you will need.  Waterpark is great for the kids, we have a pool so get little use out of it.  Do play a lot of tennis and there are options for all skill levels, plus free clinics. We have a golf membership, which is little used.  Good facilities and plenty of variety if you play a lot.  4951

Was a member a cpl years ago, and have to say, and I believe it to be fact, that KWCC is the best deal, with the best facilities, best food (nothings perfect, but I'm comparing it to several other m/ships I've had) and best service in Houston, by far. Like someone posted above, the Breakfeast they have is exc (I had the m/ship where I couldn't golf at Deerwood, but could use their facilities, their Sunday brunch is exc., and affordable). Where else can you play 4 golf courses (5 if you wanna pay to play DW) at that caliber for what you pay, and I didn't even use the Tennis/Work out facilities but I hear/see they are on par with the golf. Are Freddie and Ken (I believe that was his name) still running the Tin Cup? They are great (as with everybody else at the CC), first day I was a member, had played all day and was out of cigs, no biggie but I saw they had some at the Tin Cup, had Marl. lights but not Reds, I'm particular and just told him I'd be alright till on the way home, 5/10 minutes later Ken (?) comes walking in with some Reds, went to the store to get them, even though I felt bad (didn't need them), what great service! They remembered my name from the first time I walked in there, what I drank (had it sitting there w/out asking as soon as I sat down, (I can't even remember what I drink some times, lol), with 100's of members coming in there daily, just good guys!I tell you another big benefit (in addition) of a CC, and KW always does it right, is Valentine Day/Mothers Day, ect, when you can't get in a Rest for hours, make a reservation at the CC, always simple and fun, impressive to your date/mom.Sorry for the long post, just can't recommend KWCC enough, as I could go on. Needless to say, I'll be joining again when things settle down and I can use it.. 4951

I've been a member for the last 6 years.  My family and I love it there.  Yes, Freddy and Ken still run the Tin Cup.  They are the best.  The golf is great and the food is getting better all the time. 4951
