I feel like journaling helped me through some tough times. It also helped, once things were better, to re-read and see where I had been. It has made me more thankful for where I am now. Â
@MAHM: Â It also helped me when I was getting help for PTSD and depression. Â Once I was much improved, I stopped the journal.
@mattem: Â Writing gives you an outlet to vent your fears, frustrations, etc. Â Usually, you will be willing to write things down before you are willing/able to talk about them. Â Writing also helps you organize your thoughts for when you meet with a counselor.
