Found a couple ripe figs on my tree this afternoon.

I have a small fig tree that is about a foot tall.  I am hoping to have figs next year.  It is a cutting from  my parents old tree.   I love love love Fig Jelly!!!!!! 4951

@FoFaWhat kind of fig tree do you have? I planted a six foot Brown Turkey fig tree two years ago. The few figs that develop keep falling off when they are about the size of a marble. 4951

What kind of fig tree do you have?
 
@noel: It is a brown turkey. Or some variation.It was on sale at Home Depot about 6 years ago for $5 so I bought one because I love figs.
A lot of sun is required for them to do good.I have one that is 9 years old in the backyard, in a shaded area, it is only 2 1/2 feet tall, but it is a Celest also.They also like water, they do not like to dry out. If they dry out, they will drop their fruit.I don[t know about too wet, never had that problem. 4951

Plenty of sun so they have probably been falling of from lack of water in the past. Guess that won't be a problem this year! I have a few figs developing on the tree now. 4951
