I love that app. I joined about 2 years ago and lost 20 but then got tired of logging everything. Now after gaining way more weight back, im logging food again. Ive logged for 2 weeks now and lost 10 pounds. I think of it as a competition, I set my goals and have to stay under the calories and carbs for the day, if I succeed I win and if I fail... I feel like crap and I hate feeling like crap! My calorie goal is set to 1200 a day and im not starving. Its all about planning your meals.
@Elizanicholson: I have mine at 1400 cause I like my fruit. It seems if I set it at 1200 I don't have enough for fruit. Plus, I didn't gain this weight overnight, so a pound or two small loss an month is worth it to be able to eat a little more. That's one thing I love about MFP. You can customize it. No one's telling you what to eat or how much. You decide!
