Is it just me, or do 90% of children's cartoons nowadays kinda suck? I'm at work bored outta my mind, and I have to keep the tv on cartoons. It could at least be Care Bears or Tiny Toons, but alas we don't have cable. So Thomas the Engine it is! 4951

Acckkk at least old Thomas had some skill and story behind it, but now all they do is the same 5 problems. Plus the fact that the new creators don't really see the trains as people (which they are by the fact they have anthro-faces) but it reates some really dark and sad plots for kids to think about. 4951

And Thomas is an oooolllld cartoon. I blame it on it being from the UK. I've watched cartoons over there when visiting family and gosh, they're so dry and boring. DisneyJr has some good newer cartoons. Forget Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network, though - I just don't find those shows funny at all. 4951

Is it Thomas the Engine or Thomas the Train? Oh well y'all get my point lol. I don't think I've seen any of the newer Disney Jr cartoons. I miss all the ones I used to watch growing up Emoticon 4951

@WJo:

My Grandma was a huge horror buff. Growing up, it was always Disney movies, cartoons, or a Stephen King film or other scaryish movie. I think I had watched every Hellraiser and Puppet Master movie that was out by the time I was 7. Good times good times lol 4951

Definitely the stand for best king movie, gi Joe was great but I respect it for the PSA that it was, but 90's cartoons were the most funny, and oddly enough secretly adult (almost along the peewees playhouses vein) but definitely double meaning keeping the whole room interested. That's why there aren't any good since then haha 4951

@bp2018... my kids, grandkids & great grandkids  grew up watching horror flicks , they knew it was not real & they enjoyed  watching them with us , they never had nightmares or bad dreams either. I think it's all about how you teach your kids what is real & what is not .....I'm in my 70's & I still enjoy a good horror show & I love watching "GRIMM" & The Walking Dead" those are my favorite shows when they are in season . 4951

When I was a little kid, I watched Bugs Bunny, Coyote & Roadrunner, Sylvester & Tweetie, Tom & Jerry. As I got a little older, I watched Duck Tales and Ninja Turtles.My kids do like Looney Toons, Tom & Jerry and Ninja Turtles, but when DS starts watching Cartoon Network, it's so irritating. Adventure Time, Amazing World of Gumball, Regular Show - these are the shows I can't stand. I swear my IQ drops just being in the same room with them. 4951

Spongebob still kicks ***.

I miss Ren & Stimpy, Rugrats, Doug, Daria, M.A.S.K, and plenty more older ones.

BTW, did one person (no robots or cyborgs) ever get shot in the GI Joe cartoon? I only recall Duke getting shot with a poison dart or something. The lasers never hit or killed anyone Joe or Cobra from my memory. Quite lame. 4951

Also, DD watches Doc McStuffins on Disney Channel. It is a sweet show with valuable lessons, but DH can't stand hearing it from the next room.She used to like Dora the Explorer, but she recently decided she is way too cool for that show. Lol. Six year olds are funny. 4951
