@FoFa: His findings do show some interesting similarities to various democracies. However, let's not jump to conclusions on just how this democracy will turn out. Time will tell!  Too bad our average citizen is an uneducated, uniformed VOTER!

FoFa, your headline is somewhat misleading.  The powers that be are not proposing no more home parties, they're proposing no more large home parties.  I can understand why a jurisdiction would want to pass such an ordinance.  For instance, on ADC there is a discussion going on now in regards to the parking problems in Walden subdivision (which I posted).  The weekend parking there is totally out of control.  A car can barely squeeze by on a lot of streets let alone a fire truck or other large emergency vehicle.  Having said that I don't know that an ordinance is the solution to limit how many people can come to your house.  In fact such an ordinance will most likely not pass legal muster.  What people can do is be considerate of their neighbors and exercise common sense.  If a person decides to have a large party or gathering, instead of doing it at ones home consider utilizing the subdivision country club or other large meeting space.  Most neighborhoods cannot handle 40+ cars parked all over the place. **Edit - Particularly if on any given weekend multiple homeowners decide to do the same thing. 4951
