Apparently a senior at K Park asked one of the eighth graders, that were touring the school yesterday, if they wanted to buy some pot.  He said it was a joke, and it probably was, but what a dork!  Someone didn't put their thinking cap on yesterday. 4951

@Nurse3: I didn't hear about it, but isn't that a little like saying "bomb" on an airplane? It doesn't matter if you're joking.

@MAHM: Yeah, exactly!  My DD said everyone thought it was funny except for the 8th grader and the teachers, when she/he told them.  I told her that it was not the brightest thing this kid could have done especially with graduation coming up.  Wonder if he will be walking the line in May or if they really slammed him yesterday.

It was not the brightest line but if it was truly a joke he shouldn't be prevented from walking. If it was a real proposition, then he should be approprietly dealt with. People in general need to lighten up, use some common sense and not take every word uttered literally and overreact.

KDC goofing around threads, case in point. 4951

I just don't understand how that "joke" is even supposed to be funny, though?  4951

Sounds like claiming it was a joke is an after the fact defense. 4951

Could very well be a cover, but hey, sometimes people are just trying to be funny and it fails miserably. If he's a kid that's not normally a trouble maker and not known for being into drugs and stuff, he should be given the benefit of the doubt. Now if he's a pothead then come down on his head big time. 4951
