Kroger @ NP & WLHPSo, normal price $2.09$2.09 / 160 = .013 (each kleenex) not $1.313 for $4 is not 83 cents each but 1.33 each boxBuy 3 save $1 would really be 2.09 * 3 = 6.27   6.27 - 1 = $5.27Wonder what the cash register will do? 4951

it's fuzzy math but the save 83 cents is all about the final cost per box after tax. 2.09 plus tax minus the 1.31 they claim plus tax...and do you really expect better skills? the signs are probably outsourced just like their ads...just like all supermarkets 4951

Their math appears to be ok to me. It's $2.09 / 160 = $0.013 which is 1.3 cents as they're saying. Also ($4.00 / 3) / 160 = $0.0083 which is 0.83 cents as stated.

With math like this , we will never colonize the moon.... :/ 4951

I'd rather colonize Mars. I think the atomosphere is closer to ours.

Do you have real people in your life to interact with? Or, does the internet satisfy all of your emotional needs. 4951

They have to average it out because its mix and match...meaning you dont have to buy 3 of those...there are other products you can pick from that are part of the get a dollar off  the 3 for 4 promotion if you buy 3 sets.It might be paper towels, cookies, cereal...usually about 20 things when they do this you can choose from so they cant "technically" give you an exact per unit price in advance. Plus we dont know what they mean by units either. yes it says 160 tissues but usually unit on things like that(not all things) is per box(not tissue...so I always thought), can, package, and many time tissues can come in 2 4 6 and even 8 packs.Im going to go with its 2 boxes with 80 tissues a box equaling their 160 tissues.83 cents per box/unit equals $1.66 per 2 packcard price before mix and match promotion 3 of the 2packs would be 4.98 (209 is before card price)  3 two packs is actually 6 units6 times 83 is 498 but if you are doing their mix and match promotion another dollar is taken off at the register making it 398(rounded off to 4.00).....the 3 for 4 bucksThey are giving you the closest per unit price they can on items if you dont take advantage of the mix and match promotion and dont get the dollar off at the register. You will pay 166 for a 2 pack with card...209 without card. But will not get the buck off at the register. They can only give you the unit price before the 1 dollar is taken off because they have no idea what you are going to choose with all the other mix and match items available or if you are even going to do the 3 for 4. 4951

Ok, I'm going to lay this bag of snakes out straight one more time and hope it sticks. The 1.31 and the 0.83 are in cents per tissue. 1 cent is 0.01 dollars. All you do is move the decimal point two places and call it cents. That's why they have the c with the slash through it. So $2.09 for 160 tissues, 2.09 / 160 is 0.0130625 dollars which rounded is 0.0131 dollars, which moving the decimal place two places and making it cents is 1.31 cents per tissue. Boom goes the dynamite!

@clizo: What you don't understand is the nation does common core math now...that means we are all right as long as we explained our answer...:-)
