Watch out!  We just killed an adult coral snake in our backyard.  I was in the bath and hubby comes in and asks...."What is that saying, red touches yellow......"It was pretty humorous with both of us out there with our trusty shovels hunting the snake. 4951

So glad our dog is a barker and scares everything away.  The feral cats in the woods also help 4951

Yeah my hubby just happened to be outside without our beagle.  She goes after anything smaller than her that moves.  THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN AWFUL!  4951

One of my neighbor's dogs was bitten by a snake about a week ago in their back yard!They had to go to the emergency vet. 4951

I think we will be making a moth ball run today to put along the perimeter of the backyard.  I don't like snakes in general, but now that we have seen a coral snake we are going to take extra precautions.  I used it as a learning experience for the kids too.  I made them all come outside and look at what a coral snake looks like to make sure they stay away from anything like that. 4951
