The Houston Police Department's Kingwood Division will be getting a new captain. From
@kingwooddotcom: Notes on the Super Neighborhood Council:"It was mentioned that Captain May will no longer be the Kingwood Police
Department Captain shortly. The reasoning was not explained, but
Captain May will still be working within the department in another area."Captain Mark Fougerousse, formally of Clear Lake will now serve the Kingwood Area, he had this to say “From what I have noticed, the upkeep of the homes and property in
Kingwood demonstrates that the residents care about the area and will
not tolerate crime in the area."He called on citizens as the best resource the department has to prevent crime and encouraged everyone to call in if they see something suspicious or out of place. After the Winter string of Kingwood area bank robberies HPD has implemented a new deterrence program. Two units visit with Banks in the morning before they open and check on them throughout the day. This has changed the idea that Kingwood Banks are an easy target for criminals.
