>> Every now and then I get brown water come out! Does anyone have this happen or know why? My realtor said its normal here in Kingwood, is this true??? It's just soo soo gross
@newkwmom: This has been mentioned on here before. Â Apparently some sections of Kingwood have this problem. Â Call the city of Houston Water Dept to report it. Â They will send someone to flush the main lines in that area. Â It sounds like they have leaks in some of the mains and their short-term response is just to flush the pipes. Â I don't know if they plan to address the permanent fixes.
@Retired_Engineer: I know they'd never do it because of money issues but with the problem areas they need to either CIPP the lines or slipline the pipe with HDPE.
@WskyTngoFxtrt: Â Agreed! Â We had to CIPP some old vitrified clay drainage lines and it was a fraction of the cost of digging and repairing/replacing.What people don't realize is that the soil at each leak point is getting eroded away. Â My guess is that the city of Houston won't take action until one or more sink-holes appear.
