How much is too much when it comes to sleeping? I fell asleep last night at 6:30pm & woke up this morning at 9:30am. I got 15 hours of MUCH needed sleep after a hellacious week, & now at not even 5pm, I could seriously go to sleep again!! I've not even been awake for 7 hours! There's got to be something wrong with me, lol. 4951

I hate you! I've been wide awake since 3:30, thinking staying in bed would actually help me go back to sleep. Nope. Got up at 5 and now I'm a dam zombie. All it takes is one bad night and three days to recover.

I think if you can sleep that much, then you should. You must need it. 4951

@Heathur: Oh there's something wrong with you alright, but it has nothing to do with sleep. HA!

@Heathur:

IME, too much sleep is way worse than not enough. Too much will kick my :***: . This is why I never, ever take naps unless I'm deathly sick.

The theory of no more than a 20 minute nap under normal circumstances being the optimal amount of time has scientific merit. I get about 7 hours (sometimes 8 on a weekend) a night and that's good for most people, especially when you're busy/running around all day like me (and like you!)...nature eventually gives you that second wind. Too much has the opposite effect for me! Emoticon
