I remember watching the original with Mr. Sagan, and loved it.It's mostly because they explained things the average person can understand. You don't need to be a Sheldon Cooper to understand it.The new one is also very good. I like the guy hosting it. Lov'n it also. But some of the reality shows have higher ratings.Just shows what America is becoming. No wonder Putin can walk all over us now. 4951
This is quite different from the original. It opened with a long segment about the evils of Christianity, during which the host warned people to get their info from science text books rather than from the bible. How is that info (complete with faked data) about global warming working out for you? 4951
@Wooderson@FoFaCount me in as well........Pretty cool show if I say so myself......And I just did......I really believe that people would be healthier, and more mentally positive if they'd just quit watching so much Reality TV bull crap.........The ones with all of the fighting, and drama, negativity and materialism........And instead maybe watch something like this......or snap dragons... ....just go out doors, or be quiet......Not all of it, peeps......Just some of the crap....~ Put Good In - Get Good Out ~ 4951

I go from intrigued to "meh" on Cosmos. I appreciate what they are doing though I find the execution mixed. I HIGHLY recommend this documentary/movie on Steven Hawking. It was written and is narrated by him. It tells his entire story. Super interesting/inspiring stuff."Hawking is the extraordinary story of the planet's most famous living scientist, told for the first time in his own words and by those closest to him. Made with unique access to Hawking's private life, this is an intimate and moving journey into Stephen's world, both past and present. An inspirational portrait of an iconic figure, Hawking relates his incredible personal journey from boyhood under-achiever, to PhD genius, to being diagnosed with Motor Neuron Disease and given just two years to live. Despite the constant threat of death, Hawking manages to make many remarkable scientific discoveries and rises to fame and super-stardom. Hawking - a remarkable man, and a remarkable movie." 4951
