i want to make something for the crew that's doing some work in my house. I was thinking of a snack/ sweet treat because they already bring their lunch with them. I figured fruit would be nice because it'll be warm out, but i need it to be easy for them to eat so they aren't having to wash their hands between bites. Also needs to be something that can be left at room temp. All i've come up with so far is cubes of pound cake and strawberries with a bit of chocolate stuck on a toothpick. Anyone have any other ideas? 4951

That's too fancy for them. Just go to KFC and get them a huge family meal. 4951

I think the mom in me is showing. I haven't seen them eat anything fresh, let alone fruit! And I feel like they need it! Haha! 4951

@squirtismyboy: Fruit gives people the farts?!?! Never knew that! I'm sure they're back there farting anyway. It crossed my mind today what they do when they need to numero dos. They ate buffalo wings today for lunch. They're doing work in the master bathroom and there's currently no toilet in there.
I'm actually scared to walk around the yard now. Emoticon 4951

I took treats daily to my construction crew. Nothing elaborate but could be eaten w package covering or with a napkin.

Don't bring alcohol. You want your house built carefully.

One of the best received was slushy (not frozen solid) Gatorade bottles.

My house inspector told me (without knowing about the treats) that my house was the best built that he had seen in the neighborhood. 4951

how about fruit on a stick ? you can purchase skewers & poke them into fruit wedges .or bottles of fruit juice in a bucket of ice , everyone loves something cold on a hot day !you can also use the skewers with chunks of cake  or brownies . 4951
