I think what some view as traffic maybe different from others. What I call traffic is anything standstill for 3 to 5 minutes or I-10 no matter which direction you are traveling. To live in Kingwood with all the nature and trees with an occasion sight of a deer, I don't mind the "so call traffic" we have. There are those that just don't realize how good we have it here compared to other communities. JMO
@bubbleyes72: Exactly. We moved up here from Deer Park. It was flatlands, few trees, very little nature (lots of anoles and birds). Our first impression of driving down KW Dr. was ---- WOW!!!!!! It was absolutely beautiful. We decided then that someday we would move to Kingwood. When our kids graduated from HS we started looking and found this beautiful home in Forest Cove. Lots of trees, spread out beauty, no plant pollution, very little traffic. In driving around Houston, most areas are congested with traffic and strip centers and business, tall buildings. I don't want that for this area. It can remain out on 59, but let's not bring it into the main arteries of KW. It's bad enough that Northpark is nothing but barren road and lots of businesses, do we need to ruin KW Dr. too? Talk is to expand Hamblen, I pray that never happens. I'm sure it will someday, but hope not soon. I'm hoping that the areas down by the railroad track that are for sale will never develop because of the flooding potential there. When we get a flood over here it is 8-10 feet deep into the businesses already there. Can't imagine a business buying that property and planning on a river flood washing away their landscaping (they would have to build their business up above the flood plain. So, I hope it stays natural here.
