Hi All,A few years ago I took in the world's sweetest little Lhasa
Apso, who was found wandering around Kingwood. No owner was ever found
so he became part of our family. We have 2 cats and he is great with
them, in fact, he is very cat-like himself in many ways! He loves to
cuddle and LOVES going on long walks! The only reason we are looking to
re-home him at this time is that we cannot have a doggy door due to our
cats, and with my wife and I both working late hours, he often has
potty problems inside. When we are home, he is great about asking to go
outside and doing his business, but whenever we leave, he will
sometimes poop or pee on the floor. Due to our work, we will both be
traveling a lot more frequently in the near future, and we would prefer
not to have to board him so often.  An ideal home for him would either have a doggy door available or a stay at home parent!   His name is Bert and he has never
met someone that he didn't instantly love. We believe he is around 6 - 7
years old, according to the vet. Let me know if you are interested, or
would like some pictures!

They can be trained to go inside on a potty pad or makeshift potty area just like cats.He would rather be kenneled when you go out of town than lose you all together.Sorry I cant help I have ended up with 3 in less than a year and one is a foster up for adoption, most of us here are in over our heads with unwanted dogs...:-( 4951

@justin1Just a thought.... I don't know what the lay out of your house is like, but is there any way that the cats could kept in another part of the house during the day? That way, your pup could use the doggie door. 4951

My DD has a doggie door that that something on the dogs collar opens the door, and it closes behind them. Then when they want back in, same thing. If the cats didn't have the thing on their collar, it would not activate the door. Not saying one could't escape, but since it is a cat, so what
