Geoffrey
Giannone a Porter High School teen won best in show at the Houston
Livestock Show and Rodeo. Art has always been a part of his life and his
talent truly shows in his charcoal rendering of an Indian Chief. His art was sold for $18,000 and he was awarded a $30,000 scholarship. Geoffrey
has been a competition winner receiving blue and gold ribbons since
around sixth grade and prefers to work in black and white mediums like
pen/pencil/charcoal. The requirement for the Rodeo art contest is photo
realism which lead to this captivating piece:

We saw some best in show animals that sold for upwards of 250,000 at the rodeo.  The winners were 17  and 18 year olds.  4951
