What are your opinions on Suddenlink as a provider?They are making a $140 million dollar investment in Texas to up the ante on service. In this article Kingwood is listed as one of it's largest customer bases. “Mainly what we are doing is purchasing new equipment to provide the
enhanced video, Internet and other services,” company spokesman Gene
Regan said. “We are enhancing our fiber network in the state and we’re
also expanding our local networks to serve some newer neighborhoods that
are popping up.”http://lubbockonline.com/business/2014-03-19/suddenlink-makes-140-million-investment-lone-star-state#.Uysdn4Ur6Ul

@Drekonix: How unfortunate, now they want to add more unhappy customers to their list of complaints!!! They can barely serve the customers they have now, what a waste of a company..... 4951

As a cable TV, I think Suddenlink is just OK.  Their service has gotten better after they replaced the cable for our street. We are at the beginning of our street and they were still building the rest of the street.  Every house construction resulted in a broken cable, so they would splice it. Our signal is good now and rarely goes out.  My biggest issue is their channel selection and costs.I used to have Century Link for ISP. Their signal was horrible. Frequent outages/slowdowns.  Had to reboot the modem almost daily.  We switched to Suddenlink and are very happy. We get 30Mbps and it rarely slows down.  I had to reboot my modem this week for the first time in months.For us, Suddenlink is the best ISP choice BUT the only other choices are Century Link or a satellite.  So it's a choice of lesser evils.Also, depending on where you live, Century Link may be a better ISP. 4951

@Retired_Engineer:

Pretty much sums up my opinion.  We're kind of bundled with Cable, Internet, Security and Medical alert.  I'd hate to have to source all that individually. 4951

I will say Suddenlink internet service is better than Centurylink, however the cable sucks due to channel selection, so I went with DirecTV. I have been going back and forward with Centurylink about my home phone bill and outages when on a call. I may opt to go back to Suddenlink for home phone and internet if I can keep my DirecTV. 4951

I have them,, and due to my trees and other issues with the house,,  I have to have them. If I could I would drop them and go with Comcast. 4951
