Would you go by yourself out to eat? 4951

I have quite a few times, especially when traveling for work. I had a friend tell me it was weird. Just curious what others did/thought. 4951

Traveling sort of forces you to, though mostly try to grab something quick rather than an elaborate meal.  Feels sort of weird sitting at a table by myself so usually grab something at the bar. 4951

@ET:

It doesn't bother me to eat at a nice place by myself.  I figure if I'm on business travel, I'm going to eat a nice meal.  I have done it many times. 4951

Usually get to talk with somebody at the bar, if only the bartender. 4951

@aggiebutterfly: Sure.  I would just take my iPhone and iPad and be fine. I prefer to have someone with me, of course, but would not stay home just because of that. 4951

I do it all the time, and like @donnatella stated above, I take my cell phone or normally someone at the bar will just strike up a conversation..... 4951

I did it all the time when I was doing a lot of traveling.  If my wife is out of town, I usually go out.  It doesn't bother me to sit alone.   4951

I always do- hubby travels a lot and sometimes I just don't want to cook for me. I take a newspaper, book or now my IPad. I don't think it's weird at all- what would single peeps do- never eat out unless it's friends or family? 4951

Now I have kids, so they are usually with me.  Although it's a bit challenging with a 2 year old and 4 year old to go out without my husband! lol
