Of course this couldn't happen LAST week while my son was on Spring Break, but I just had to pick him up from school due to chest congestion / sinus issues. He has what the little guy had last week - plus he has asthma and he's a bit of a drama king, too, so those don't help either. Oh and can't get him in for a sick visit either. "Call first thing in the morning." Well, he didn't bneed it first thing this morning! Grrrr............ Everyone tells me that it will take our bodies a year to adjust to the new climate, allergies, germs, etc. I seriously hope so bc I can't take another school year like this one. 4951
If he is prone to allergies he may have to see an allergist and get shots. I am from NY and the pollen and allergens down here are definitely different than they are in the north. I definitely suggest making an appointment with an allergist so your kids aren't suffering all the time. 4951
I've been here 10 yrs. & it get worse every year. I go out in my backyard  & I'm sneezing, coughing Didn't have these problems up north but I think as we age a lot of people start having sinus problems. 4951
I agree that if you have not seen an allergist, it's worth a try. My 3 yr old gets a nasal spray twice a day, and that keeps her from getting overwhelmed and sick from all the crap flying around outside in the summer. 4951
Thanks for all of the feedback! Â My oldest has seen an allergist in the past (up North), but I guess it would be worth taking him again down here. *sigh* Â Definitely giving our new HSA a workout this first quarter. Blech. 4951
