@Drekonix:

She was probably scared of her dad and thought that would keep her out of trouble. Stupid decision, obviously. 4951

"The father walked in and asked questions, but his daughter claimed to
not know Johran. The father then called 911, but an argument ensued
with the teenage boy.""The father told deputies that Johran dropped his hands as if to grab
something, so the man opened fire. The teen died at the scene."The boy's parents want an apology.  They want their baby back alive.Why did their baby argue?  The dad wants a safe home for his family.If it happened exactly like the dad says, then it is certainly tragic.  But the father was protecting his home. 4951

The father should be in the clear. He was told the boy was a stranger, he called 911, there was a confrontation and the only one that can dispute the fact that the boy moved as if going to grab something is the daughter who will not do that. Even if she does, who will believe her?As I posted yesterday, that girl will very likely get sued in civil court by the boy's family and they have a strong case. She let the boy in and her actions led to his death. In criminal court it might not be enough, but civil court is a different story 4951

@fcabanski: I totally agree but you have to understand the grief of the boy's family. I feel for all involved. Things won't be the same for either family. Sad story.

@GoldenGirl: Sounds like the girl's hormones caused her to make several bad decisions. What a ****.  Throwing someone under the bus is one of the lowest things a person can do to someone they supposedly care about.   Sounds like a psychopath.

and the dad deserves all the guilt he should be feeling.  Sure, he had a right to protect his home and family, but a rational person would have figured out the scenario pretty damn quick.So he's either a total moron or he is trigger happy (maybe both). 4951

@LokiOfAsgard:
Exactly!!! I saw this on the news today and became **** with the daughter immediately, she needs her **** beat!! A young man lost his life because she lied!!!!! How many of us being young and stupid attempted or know someone who snuck friends in rather boy or girl!!! If I was the parent I would want an apology too. She claims she didn't know him, check her Damn cell phone and ask her friends.

I have a son and if a girl pulled a female dog move like this I'd have to whip her **** myself.

And who really knows what the "real relationship" between this lying ***** and the dude was......Maybe they were dating and she hadn't discussed it or told her folks.........I mean, she obviously invited him into her home...and bedroom........And who know the lies that she could have told him..... ......About her age, family, home life, etc etc........I mean, we all know that she's an obvious liar....Again, as I stated previously, this senseless tragedy needs to be investigated....  FULLY.......And it is senseless........That young man did NOT have to lose his life..........I mean, he was invited into that home, and into her bedroom.......He was obviously unarmed - And he did NOT have ill intent.... ...It's just really sad and quite tragic..... 4951

Again, back when I was that age, boys caught in that situation DID NOT stay to argue...they ran for their lives out of fear of the girl's father.

Girl - totally wrong for inviting him in and lying

Boy - totally wrong for being there and staying to fight

Dad - wrong for taking a life (could have shot to wound, not to kill) and not realizing that his daughter would be screaming if she truly did not know him and he was in her bedroom 4951

I'm still wondering about the brother who goes into his sister's room @ that time of the morning/night  to say "good night" & notices feet under the bed. That just doesn't sit well with me.That what I read on either KHOU or click2 houston websites. 4951

I doubt the boy stayed to argue, he was more than likely trying to explain why he was there and the father is covering his own **** by saying the boy was arguing... I'm sure when the boy saw the gun he became frightening and his voice maybe escalated even more trying to defend his reason as to why he was there.

The father too is lying as well..... 4951

Things like this should never happen. The girl was wrong, the young man was wrong. But in looking at this logically-what the teens were doing is very common. Wrong, yes, yet a common behavior in teens. What the father did IMO was NOT normal. I could never shoot a kid in that scenario. He didn't have To be so extreme in his actions. I just have a hard time believing as he held a gun that he had to shoot him point blank at his torso.

Lots of lying going on, usually means covering up on some level. 4951
