Bob carried the brick to the line of bricks he had already placed. He laid some concrete on the lower brick, then placed the new brick on top of it.Yes, it was another brick in the wall. 4951
So is it cement or is it concrete? You used both words. A lot of people use those two words interchangably. I'll tell you the difference. Cement is the hardening agent in concrete. Concrete is the whole thing which is typically made up of cement, water, sand and aggregate (rocks). So when people say a cement sidewalk that's incorrect, the proper term is concrete sidewalk. Also, some people refer to the mixture of sand and rocks as aggregate and not just the rocks. 4951
HGTV did a show on the difference between cement and concrete, it was a very interesting show. Until then I didn't know of all the things that could be done to the two to create such decorative/designs and looks. You can even change the color and texture of the two if you like, depending on the look you are going for. It was a very cool show. 4951
we know someone is off their meds and does things like inane responses to every thread late at night and posts about the most minute aspects of his life but do you HAVE to buy into it instead of just letting them slide away into the back pages of yesterdays? 4951
"So is it cement or is it concrete? You used both words."I looked it up to make sure I used the correct word. Then I botched it by using both words. 4951
@FoFa: Says the one that posts 50 useless threads a day.
@WskyTngoFxtrt: that's why I love the new "ignore" functionality so much. Â It's a whole different board without all of the random BS all over it.Oh, 50 useless threads a day? Only if he's cut back drastically. 4951
