My daughter  woke up this morning with a horrible bladder infection.  There was blood and she is only 21 and it scared her.  Itook her to the 24 hour emergency room.  It was excellent!!!!  From the receptionist to the nurse to   Dr Herman.  She had a root canal and knew she has a bladder infection and was trying to allow herdental antibiotics to take care of the bladder infection.  It did not and got so much worse. They jumped right on it....gave her an antibiotic shot and an antibiotic that would cover boththe tooth and the bladder infection.  The Dr sat there after the shot to make sure she was okay andtalked to her and gave her much needed attention.  She was in a lot of pain and scared.I felt very well taken care of and after went and bought them a dozen donuts.  Tonight mydaughter is in much less pain and we were taken are of very well.   Hats Off!!!!! 4951

Is this First Choice? If so, I've toured it and decided we will go there if we have the need. Glad they were able to help your daughter and that she's doing better. 4951

My insurance said to pick an urgent care facility over emergency care. Much cheaper.

Glad she is feeling better. 4951

Good to hear they took care of her.  KPRC just had a segment on ER places vs. Urgent Care. The ER places are much more expensive than urgent care. (especially if they are out of network). 4951

I went to the Emerg. center on NP about 2yrs ago, received excellent care, They took X-rays, gave me a referral & meds. I paid my co-payment & never received a bill. The night before I wasted $75 at the blue building next to Shipleys' for him to tell me he couldn't help me & X-rays weren't necessary. 4951

I guess it depends what care you need. If you think you have strep throat, you would go to urgent care - not the er place. If something is life-threatening, then go to the er place. AND make sure any of these places are in network. 4951

We went there last week for my eldest's ankle.  She hurt it that night and I worried that we needed xrays.  We were the only ones in there and they took us right back.  Got the xrays, fitted for a stabilizer and paid all in about an hour.  I would have gone to the urgent care on Kingwood drive, but they close at 9pm and it was 915 at that point.  I am nervous about the bill though since we could have technically gone to Kingwood hospital ER, but I didn't want to wait all night when I had to work the next day. 4951

I'm glad you were happy with their service.  You may be shocked at the cost when you get the bill though.  Emoticon

@SandyKnee: Co Pay was 150 for my daughters insurance  but worth every penny we got out in an hour...I can't stand 4-6 hours at the hospital emergency

@Nurse3: I paid the 150 co pay for my daughter and last time we were there I owed 18.00 after that.
