We like Akashi usually, or Carraba's. Movies are fun too. We rarely get date nights, and usually only have time for dinner. 4951

Last time we went to Carraba's but we also like Raffas, Sharky's, and Puertos Tacos. It's usually dinner then home for naughty parent night. Emoticon 4951

DH & I are going out tonight & he said I get to choose anything I want. I'm trying to think of something fun & new for us to do! Something other than just dinner & a movie. January he took me to Pappadeaux & fine arts museum downtown for my birthday. I'm drawing a blank! Painting with a twist is booked with private parties, I was thinking raffas, union kitchen, or longhorn for dinner, I thought maybe even Main Event in the woodlands but it will be so packed on a Saturday night. Frozen yogurt sounds fun afterwards but I want to do something or go somewhere other than just a movie. Willing to travel as far as downtown or the woodlands, just want to DO something new. 4951

@donnatella: That's my favorite date night-lately we have been skipping the dinner part though.  I am a cheap date.

Well, you gotta eat to keep up your strength, otherwise you will tucker out too soon, and nobody wants to sleep on naughty parent night. 4951

Last night at the gym some of the teenage boys, who play basketball there on Fridays, brought their girl friends with them.  While I waited for my game, I chatted with the girls.  I asked them if this was their Friday date - watching the guys play basketball.  They smiled, they laughed "yes."  I told them to get the boys to take them to a nice restaurant. One of the boys walked over.  He saw we were talking and laughing.  "What?" he said.  I told him we were discussing him taking his girlfriend to a nice restaurant. He thought for a second.  "Olive Garden is a good start."  Yes, the girl agreed.  Yes, I agreed it's not a bad restaurant.  Then after that date, he could prepare a meal for her at home.He said "I can make a nice pasta."There you go. 4951

I love a man who cooks, that's way I have one. Plus for him it's an improvement over my cooking skills. 4951

Dinner at the Monument Inn and watch the ships ply the channel. Haven't been there in a while so can't speak for the food.  The view is fun. 4951
