DO NOT GO TO KINGWOOD MENCHIES(the owners are nightmares)...Over the past 3 months or so I have spend and average of $9-12 each time I have gone with my 2 littles girls (ages 4, and 6). We go at least once to twice a week. The owners, who's names I do not know have made comments to us and scolded me on sampling the product on more than one occasion. Today, we went and after spending $9.55 for 3 small cups, I went back to sample another flavor...The women was eye-balling me as I made my approach and I knew she was going to say something. I proceeded just to prove myself right, and low and behold, she began to tell me in a rude manner how me sampling the ice cream or whatever it is was bad for her business...I asked her why and she said something to me in another language and then repeated that it was bad for business. We are done going there and will find a friendlier place to get our cold treats...I can not wait till they go out of business. I will be heading back there this weekend to let them know that they just lost our $50-80 bucks a month and I will be sure to call corporate on their *** as well... 4951

Really? I'm not doubting you, but I'm in there 3/4 times a week, sample 2 or 3 everytime I'm in there (even if I already know what I'm getting, lol), they've never said anything or even had that look. It's why they have the sample cups isn't it. 4951

I didn't even know what a Menchies was, much less that we had one.  I guess I'll need to try them. 4951

@Retired_Engineer: It's next to Starbucks on NorthPark... I've never been to any of the yogurt places in the livable forest.

Never been there. We are fans of Berry Bar in King's Harbor. In the summer, they have a watermelon sorbet that is to die for. 4951

Seems like there must be more to the story.
They have always been real nice. In fact, a friend and I waited 15 minutes for the flavor we wanted to be ready, and just ended up hgetting another flavor instead of continuing to wait. When it was finally done, the owner offered us free cups of the flavor we wanted.
I love my Menchies! 4951

I wish we had a TCBY instead.  Menchies is ok.  I do like that it is make your own with a lot of toppings but TCBY yogurt is much better tasting. 4951

I'm not a sweet lover. I've never even tried any of the local ice cream shops or yogurt or smoothie places. I don't even like ice cream. However, I do love Culver's custard! I intend to stay away from that place because of it.

I'm waiting for Spec's to start offering regular samples. I'd be a regular, for sure. 4951

@Zephard:  I think we used to have a TCBY (at least I think that's what it was).  It was in the strip center where the HEB at Kingwood Dr and West Lake Houston.  They always had a fat-free and sugar-free choice but the flavor changed every day.

My favorite yogurt place is Pinkberry.  I wish they had one here in Kingwood!  I like that they serve you and the fruit and toppings are covered completely from coughing people!  I hate when they are only have a little shield.  I remember seeing the yogurt place by HEB some little kid taking the strawberries with their hands and then putting them back!  Gross! 4951

There has to be more to this story and I will continue to go there often. I will send everyone I can too.
