So my 3 month old has been SOOO fussy today and nothing else was working so I started vacuuming cause this helped her when she was a newborn. I get halfway done with the living room and look over at her in her swing and she's snoozing away lol. Guess ill finish vacuuming and maybe shampoo the carpet too lol. What weird things help or have helped their kids when they were fussy? Just wondering if I'm the only one with a strange one lol 4951

Your lucky, my 1 year old hates the vacuum. I have heard about babies that like it. My daughter liked the dryer or dishwasher running but not the vacuum. 4951

She loves it! She's already teething and has been fussy constantly for past 4 days where she's not happy unless I'm holding her or she's on my boob lol. Since I started vacuuming I feel like I should finish the job even though I have a ton more to do before I pick my other daughter up at 2:45 4951

My oldest liked riding in the car! My other 2 liked being bounced a little while I patted their butts! lol My oldest had colic so we were in the car  A LOT!!  None of my kids liked the vacuum, my 2.5 year old is still afraid of it,  so you are lucky!! Emoticon 4951

@Irispixies: Gah! Taylor was the same way! She still gets annoyed when we're stopped too long.
As for soothing a teething baby, have you tried teething tablets? I have them in my purse at ALL times! They work for us. Something else that worked when she was that small was Sophie the Giraffe. It's basically a squeeky dog toy, but for babies. Taylor still chews the heck out of that thing!  4951

@taramay:
Never tried them, what exactly are teething tablets? I don't remember my first being this fussy when she was teething

Hyland's makes them (teething tablets) and you can gt them at Walmart, for sure. Less than $5 for a bottle of like 90, if I remember correctly. It's homeopathic. I also swear by it for my kids.  Also, I know a lot of people are hesitant to use meds, but I always found Motrin to work better than Tylenol for pain. (Tylenol was better for fevers.) Good luck! 4951

@Irispixies: I use Hyland's Baby Teething Tablets. They're all natural and homeopathic. You just stick 2 to 3 tablets under the tongue. They dissolve almost immediately. When Taylor was that small, I would dissolve them in a little water and syrenge it to her. It just helps to calm them and ease some of the pain.
They make a teething gel also. Like orajel. It works, but I only use it if she's really upset.  4951

@ctl74: They also sell them at all the drug stores and heb. I don't think babies are supposed to have mortin until 6 months or so. I'm not positive, but i think i remember something like that.

The teething tablets sound like they'd make me nervous, she can't swallow them and choke on them can she? Her doctor told me I can give her Tylenol but that only helps briefly 4951
