I got my first cell phone in 1999. That was my high school graduation present to myself. I bought my first smartphone in 2006. It was a Palm that was Windows based. BIG mistake. I figured the phone was crap since it was Palm and going out of style, so what do I do? I get another Windows based smartphone through Verizon, and LG. Phone works fine for a year or so, then the updates and crashes occur. In my mind, I'm screaming. "UGH OMFG */&^%^%#%$@@.......". Thats how I literally felt. So I downgraded back to a plain jane POS basic phone. It's worked great for the past 2 years, until it has started acting up. I didn't like the "new" plain jane phones only b/c they are flip-phones (That is so 10 years ago. lol). So I had a heart-to-heart talk with myself about getting another phone..a smartphone. It obviously wasn't going to be Windows based, F-that, So I got a Motorola Droid Ultra. My dad has used nothing but Motorola products since I don't remember when. To give an example, he bought my sister and I Motorola pagers when we were younger (Ugh, late 90's.. pagers..(shivers) lol. Moving on, my dad has been satisfied with his Droid phone for the past 4 years. I hope to begin a new satisfaction trend.     4951

@lil03speedster Get an iPhone or Samsung galaxy, you won't regret it. My iPhone's screen recently broke (totally my fault) & while waiting for a replacement to be sent by the insurance company, I used my dad's old Motorola smart phone. I absolutely hated it. My dad loved it when he had it but he mainly just uses his phones for making calls & any old smart phone can do that. It was a piece of junk though & I used DH's samsung galaxy 4 every chance I got while my phone was broken & was elated to get my iPhone 5S from insurance so I could be done with the Motorola. Samsung galaxy & iPhones are both SMART phones & very user friendly. Ask anyone who has either & I can guarantee they'll tell you the same. Best of luck! Emoticon 4951

I'm a big fan of Lenovo products. They are the number 1 PC maker in the world. Just a few weeks ago, they bought Motorola's Mobility division (cell phones). They are going to revive the Motorola name in smartphones. They even want to go after Apple and Samsung. Look for good things from Motorola in the future.  4951

My wife and I moved from flip-phones to smart phones just last year.  We both got the Samsung Galaxy S3 and have been happy with them.  We liked them so much, we later got Samsung Tab 2 10" tablets.  We don't use a fraction of what they can do, but they do what we want them to do! 4951
