Do you think he would be a good draft pick for the Texans? Why or why not? 4951

I would rather see the Texans add some depth to other positions first before going with another QB. Keenum has the potential to do great, he just need some polishing of skills. Even Yates isn't too terrible. People are quick to write them both off, but many forget they're both really young and haven't had a lot of play time/experience.

What has been hurting the team are all the injuries and not enough men to step up and hold down the fort. Cushing getting hurt has come back to haunt them twice already. Johnson is fantastic, but he isn't getting any younger. Even Foster had some issues this year. Yup we need more depth. 4951

I don't follow the pros very much, but I personally hope that he doesn't get picked 1st.  He's cocky enough without that.  He needs to learn a little humility. 4951

I'd like to see the Texans trade the first pick for a handful of lower 1st/2nd round picks. If they draft any QB and the o-line plays like they did last year we'll have a repeat of the David Carr situation where he'll get hit so often and so early that he'll be gun-shy by the middle of the season.  I'm not sure if Keenum is the real deal or not but we all know he can scramble his butt off.  I say let him do what he does until we can get a solid line in place and then re-evaluate.   Swap the picks, draft/trade some hogs up front, and hope everyone can stay healthy. 4951

I read the article in the paper about him the other day and came to the conclusion he wouldn't be a good fit for the Texans because
There is no I in Team. I personally can't stand is arrogance 4951

I'd say if you are drafting in the top 6, unless you have an absolute immediate need, you should be drafting for value...As some have mentioned, take the best player and trade them for 3 or 4 others to fill your weaknesses...As for the Texans, they really need a long term quarterback....Will Keenum be it?...QBs who can extend "dead" plays are definately an asset, however they also need a MUCH better Offensive Line...All I can say is I'm glad it's not my problem, but it's a good problem to have...Having a new head coach that really knows offense should help them with this decision... 4951

Pick a sure thing and Manziel is not a sure thing. He may turn out to be quite the player, but Clowney will turn out to be an all-pro. At least that's what they say.

They should stick with schaub. I know that's not a popular thing to say these days, but he'd be my QB until we can get Mariotta or Winston.

Never seen anyone like him play.  He is definitely a once in a lifetime player.  I'm not sure if his style of play fits in the NFL, but in college he had the skills to back up his "arrogance".  I never really saw it as arrogance, but I've heard a few people mention it...

I think you either love him or hate him. 4951

We had this argument last night and me and the hubby didnt agree. He thinks manziel should be our first pick, but I think he's too arrogant and that will cause problems. I think bridgewater is a better choice. Clowneys not too bad either. Watched tons of highlights for all three and my choice would be bridgewater 4951

@irispixiesJust curious what the thoughts are on his arrogance?

Someone might mention when he pointed at the scoreboard against Rice earlier this year...but he was provoked most of the game.  He still shouldn't have done it though.

I personally love him, so I don't see his faults as others do. Emoticon 4951

@aggiebutterfly:

Uh oh should've known an aggie would chime in on him lol. He's a good player don't get me wrong, but I just don't think he's earned the right to be arrogant. He's not even in the NFL yet and he already thinks his **** don't stink. I wanna see him in action as a pro then maybe he can act that way if he proves himself 4951

And just because he's an Aggie isn't the reason that I like. Of course that helps!

But there are plenty of other Aggies that I don't like. Emoticon 4951

I think it's funny that eveyone thinks he is arrogant.....   His team loves him... I have always heard he is a fantastic leader......  I am not sure if he is a good pick or not but he sure is fun to watch... He would be good for ticket sales.....  I would hate to see him play for a non Texas team........ He is young and has made mistakes,,,,,   I think of it this way... I have a son that is close to his age and if you game him the attention, fame and money that Manziel has he would be a complete train wreck...   Manziel would look like a saint.....   The experts seem to think he will be able to handle the NFL just fine... 4951
