We had not been to Tin Roof BBQ in Atascocita in years because we're fans of Pappa's BBQ, but we were driving past Tin Roof tonight & decided to give it a try. We were very pleasantly surprised & will most definitely be back! I got a 2 meat plate with turkey & chopped beef, along with mac n cheese (it came with 2 sides). DH got the chicken fried steak plate with fries & mac n cheese, & DD got the kids mini corndogs with fries. We were all super satisfied with our meals, very tasty. When we were done eating, DD & DH both had to go to the rest room so I waited on the bench outside of the bathrooms with my to go box (I had leftovers). Well DD needed help working their sinks (super cute bathrooms! Clean to boot!) so I went to help her & absent mindledly left my leftovers on the bench. As we went outside to let DD play, DH asked where my box was & I realized I'd forgotten it. He went to see if he could find it while I watched DD play. He couldn't find it & asked one of the servers if they'd seen a box on the bench. The young man asked if it was turkey & chopped beef & DH said yes and that I'd layed it down while I helped our daughter in the bathroom. The guy said that he'd thrown it away & apologized. DH said no big deal & thanked him anyways, but the young man asked what all I had in the box. DH told him some turkey, some chopped beef, & some mac n cheese. The young man said that he'd take care of it & came back with a new box full of the things I had leftover! I was so blown away & thought that was so sweet. He didn't have to replace something that I'd forgotten but I was really appreciative. That earned mega points with me. Outside they had cotton candy for the kids for $1.50, a live band that played an awesome variety of music, a big roaring fireplace, & of course the huge, gated playground full of kids making friends & having fun. It was a great night out & is definitely a new favorite. 4951
When I lived in over that way, we would go there almost once a week. The food is great and they would have entertainment on Friday nights. I really enjoyed it. Glad you posted this...I need to go back....Loved their Ribs!!!!! 4951
I haven't been in about 8-9 years and just can't make the drive over there. Once you've eaten at Luling City Market (in Luling), Kreutz's, Smitty's and Snow's, it ruins all others forever. Eventually I'll try TR again....maybe! 4951
So, on the recommendations of you peeps, we hit up Tin Roof yesterday afternoon for an early lupper.....We were surprised that it was so packed, being that it was before 3, but the line went rather quickly..... And we are definitely glad that we went....The hubb got the "World Famous" Cheese-Steak Sandwich (with NO Thousand Island Dressing - just dry) and a basket of fries..... Plus a Dos Equis to quench his thirst....I got the Yard Bird Sandwich (Grilled Chicken with NO Mayo - just dry....And NO tomatoes).......And an un-sweet tea....... We also got a basket of their Fried Mushrooms to test out.....The Fried Mushrooms were the best part of the meal for me!Delicious.....Definitely hand-battered and fresh.... And NOT greasy at all.....Highly Recommended for All Shroom Lovers.....I was honestly so into the shrooms that I didn't eat more than two bites of the Yard Bird......But those two bites were tasty.........NOT the best grilled chicken sandwich, but still good....The hubb devoured his Cheese-Steak sandwich.... Completely....He said that it was good.... NOT as good as Texadelphia (in Houston) ....but still good....And the basket of fries was Hugh....They're hand-cut and more on the thicker side... And my hubb said they were SO GOOD........It looked like he didn't even touch them.... ....Their basket of fries could easily be split between 3-4 peeps.......The portions are quite generous......The entire meal was under $30..... Glad that we tried it out.... We'll be back for sure.....Thanks for the heads up and reviews / recommendations everyone.........Our happy tummies really appreciated it!  4951
