I like spicy food, but when the chili heat is too high, I don't taste the flavor.  I love Tabasco, cayene, jalapeño, and serrano.  But the habanero and bhut jaloki (sp?) aka "ghost chili" are way too hot for me.How hot do you like your food/chilis?edited: I'm referring to the vegetables instead of the dish. 4951

I do not think it should be spicy just for the sake of being spicy though. 4951

I love eggs just covered with Louisiana Hot Sauce or Crystals (cayenne peppers)!  I go through a lot of bottles of that stuff! My father grew some little peppers that were extremely hot.  He ground them up and mixed them with vinegar.  I couldn't eat them, but some friends loved the stuff.  One of my friends used to eat it on crackers.  He had an old friend visit and his friend thought it was relish, so he put a bunch on a hot dog.  One bite and his friend was in tears. 4951

I made some salsa a couple of weeks ago that had 1 Serrano and  2 jalapeño peppers in it as well as a sweet pepper to try to round it out.  Wow, that baby had some heat to it.  Hubby liked it, but it was just a little too hot for me.  Ok, I am waiting for the wimp comments. Emoticon 4951

@Nurse3: Your such  a girl! Emoticon
Really, I used to like seriously hot, but as I aged, my digestive system disagrees with that. However I always said eat it at the spice level you like. Everyone like it different. And there is always someone who will eat it hotter than you, no matter how hot you like it.So it is just better to go with you like. 4951

I don't like the taste of jalapenos or tabasco sauce/hot sauce, so I usually just skip spicy food. I love grilled/sauteed poblano peppers which have no spice at all. 4951
