He is starting to have a harder time getting around. He can make it up the stairs but not down. He just barks till someone comes and carries him down. He is also completely deaf nowEmoticon any joint supplements out there..he already take cosomine and one other prescription..I forget the name because the label came off the bottle. He just turned 13 but has always had back/joint issues. 4951

Awe, sorry to hear your fur baby is slowing down. It is hard to see their health decline and begin to think of their quality of life. Hugs boo 4951

So, I read through some articles this is the summary:Fish Oils(omega 3) have shown to benefit some pupsTry a nice quality Senior Formula pet food.  It should have some extra supplements in there for him.Glucosamine Chondriton with or w/o MSM(I know, I butchered the spelling) seems to be the most popular and best but works better when given with vitamin C. Massaging the muscles. You could also get give him water or ultrasound therapy, but that is pricey. 4951

@boobearLook for a supplement called Promotion.  Some of our volunteers swear by it for dogs w/ joint issues. 4951

Poor BooBear. I hope he feels better soon but I do like his way of coping...not too many of us can get away with barking until someone comes to our rescue. I like him! And I know how hard it is when your furbabies start showing their age. They just rip your heart out. 4951

Can dogs take Epsom salt baths? Ween loves baths. Maybe BooBear would like a warm relaxing salt soak. I can't tell by the pic, but is he overweight at all? One pound can make a lot of difference in a little guy. Maybe some light food would help and short, slow walks also. 4951

I just ordered this for my Lab.  I have heard that it is really good from a friend who used it for his dog.   yl126.infusionsoft.c om/app/linkClick/220 7/a71e04800f85f277/3 14395/f0384f6aa 4951
