So DH took me to the museum of fine arts Houston on Saturday as part of my birthday celebration. I absolutely love the MFAH & being in my element there has given me the spark to start painting again. It's also got me researching & wanting to learn even more about some of my favorite artists, which leads me to the question, who is YOUR favorite artist & why? Emoticon 4951

If photography falls into the category of 'artist', then I would have to say Ansel Adams is my favorite hands down.

I know it sounds weird, but I tend to be drawn to artists, like Van Gough who aren't just good but whose life stories are well, tortured. Seems more interesting to try and guess what was going on in their mind when they painted something. 4951
