I called our insurance company to see if were any other discounts they could offer us. He told me Defensive driving, didn't think much about it because our old insurance company said it was only a 40.00 discount a year and it was a waste of time and we would spend more than that on the course and not to bother with it for such a small amount. I called them back he said we could take it online I thought you had to go to a driving school, well it was enough to make both of us want to take it. Best of all the course is good for 3 years and so is the discount. Every 3 years you can take it and keep the discount going. 4951

@mommyof5:yeah I want to say my insurance offers a 5% monthly discount for having done defensive driving, and another 5% for having done an alcohol and drug awareness class. 4951

Houston doesn't need defensive drivers, it needs drivers to pay attention and GTFO of the left lane.Do they have a class for that? 4951

When you get a ticket you can take defensive driving to null the ticket unless you already have taken it. So if you already have dd the ticket sticks and your insurance hears about it. Is this good info or is it wrong? 4951

If you have a CDL license, you can't take defensive driving to remove the ticket. You could take it for insurance purposes, but not to remove a ticket.

Sucks!
