@TXCheri: there's a place by Rico's (and Stein Mart) on KWD that is awesome. It's dumpy looking inside but don't let that fool you.

I like the cream cheese or small sausage kolaches at the Kolache House on Northpark. They don't sell donuts but are near Shipley Donut if you need both items at the same time. 4951

@mgw300e: I was floored when you brought those donuts home! The BEST donuts I ever laid my lips on!

The best donuts/kolaches I've found in the Kingwood area is a place off Northpark near the Philly Cheesesteak place.It's on the corner of 494 and Northpark, in the little strip center.  Treat yourself to a Chappel Hill kolache.  WOW! 4951

I don't like Kolaches, but I have to agree @Fallon about the cinnamon pastries @ the Kolache House. 4951

@kingwooddiscgolf: I must warn you, however, that if you're looking for a REAL kolache, there isn't a place in the Kingwood area that I've found (yet).  The nearest is the Chappell Hill sausage kolache at the place I mentioned above.  The small kolaches use the weenie sausage, which is just an insult to all authentic kolache bakers in the world.
The Chappell Hill kolache is filling since they don't split the link, rather keep it whole. If they split the link, they could sell more and trust me, would be even more delicious since the juices of the Chappell Hill would seep into the bread...YUM!!!!!I'm a Schulenburg and West kolache fan. They use REAL sausage, not this little punk**** crap fake sausages they use around here. I've been spoiled though by living in Schulenburg and 10 minutes from West in the last 22 years...Emoticon 4951

@rena: They have a chocolate old-fashioned donut that is out of this world. Not just the best around, the best donut I've ever eaten.  I don't go there often, I'm afraid of my physical outcome.

The Kolache house rocks.  All their Kolaches are great.  And their cinnamon rolls are flat out to die for.  One is about all you can eat though.  They big and rich. My favorite donuts around here are WestCo Donuts.  They are on WLH, across from Wendy's and beside the Meat Market.

@Fallon:

My favorite donuts too! 4951
