Havent found a good kolache yet but also havent tried the place by cheesesteak. My next morning adventure.
@kingwooddiscgolf: I must warn you, however, that if you're looking for a REAL kolache, there isn't a place in the Kingwood area that I've found (yet). Â The nearest is the Chappell Hill sausage kolache at the place I mentioned above. Â The small kolaches use the weenie sausage, which is just an insult to all authentic kolache bakers in the world.
The Chappell Hill kolache is filling since they don't split the link, rather keep it whole. If they split the link, they could sell more and trust me, would be even more delicious since the juices of the Chappell Hill would seep into the bread...YUM!!!!!I'm a Schulenburg and West kolache fan. They use REAL sausage, not this little punk**** crap fake sausages they use around here. I've been spoiled though by living in Schulenburg and 10 minutes from West in the last 22 years...
