I wanted to share my recent experience with these clowns to hopefully help others avoid the mess that I had to put up with. For years I did all of my own oil changes but I've paid for the last two.So, I take my car over to Jiffy Lube for a synthetic oil change and to get the inspection done. The guy that came out to my car was very friendly and told me it would probably take about 30 minutes to finish everything. I was kind of surprised that he said only 30 minutes because the place was fairly busy at the time. He assured me that it would be done very quickly because they are "very fast." They were supposed to call my cell phone when the work was done.An hour goes by and yet there is no word on my car. I figure they probably finished and I get
@topcat to give me a ride back over to the shop. As I drive past the place, my car is sitting in one of the bays. The hood is closed and there are no other cars at all. There are no people waiting and all of the staff are inside the office. By the time I make the u-turn on Northpark and pull into Jiffy Lube, the staff see me and a couple of guys go running out into the bay where my car is. I walk in and they tell me it's not done yet, they just need to do the inspection. I'm thinking WTF were you waiting for? They tell me another 30 minutes and it should be done, making it about 90 minutes from the time they first told me 30 minutes.45 minutes later I go back. AGAIN. This time my car is parked out front where they put the cars that are done. Now the place is busy again and there's a bunch of people waiting. I stand at the counter for about 7 minutes being ignored until I finally stick my head out into the garage and ask if anyone is going to take my money so I can leave. I am completely ignored. Keep in mind that it is now close to 2 hours from the time I dropped my car off. After another 5 minutes or so, one of the guys comes in with a customer for whom he's about to write up some service. The guy goes behind the counter and then waits for me to move so he can help the other guy. I tell him I'm done waiting and that someone needs to let me pay so I can be on my way. They finally take my money and I leave.I wish that was the end of the complaint but sadly, there's more. The next day when the sun is up, I realize that the idiots got oily hand prints all over the fabric on my a-pillar next to where they stuck on the inspection sticker. It would be one thing if it were on plastic and I could wipe it off, but it's all over the light grey fabric. The manager (I called them) offered to have his guys "use this cleaner they have" to try and get the stains off. Um, no thanks. I can only imagine what that would have done.About a week later I see an oil stain on topcat's driveway. They didn't bother to tighten the oil filter and it took a week for the leak to fill my lower engine cover and finally leak out on the ground. Luckily, it didn't leak fast enough to damage my car. I had to remove the engine cover and clean the massive amounts of oil before re-installing it.I will never go back there and I recommend everyone else skip it as well. 4951
