What happened to your parent's store, if you don't mind me asking? I heard it is getting harder for even the major book retailers, such as Barns and Noble, to stay open, since the demand for hard copy books is going down. Personally, I think e-readers are nice, but nothing beats the anticipation of waiting for the release of your favorite book and waiting in lines to get the first edition of it when it comes out. Or the satisfaction of holding your newest possession in your hand and smelling that new book scent. Yes, it does exist for other things than cars =P Forgive my ranting. I realize I am a dying breed.
@bp2018:  what specifically are you looking for? there is a huge selection of books available at family Time and at Abby. both are thrift shops that benefit charity. abby spends its income on dog rescue and family time runs a shelter for battered women. if you want specific books rather than just browsing the shelves, the library can be your best friend plus they get all the new books. you might have to wait till it is your turn since some new ones end up on a que for readers if they are very popular. and the kingwood libarary also has a friends of the kingwood library shop in the vestibule of the library that sells donated books and other material. some of the books are brand new or read just once...3 bucks...how can you go wrong? the tullis library has the same and so, too, the octavia fields library down in humble
