so this morning on the news they had photos of the Woodlands & some areas of Houston covered in ice !Now we have about 7 inches of snow ( more coming) & we also have ice.....but in our area at this time of the year we expect it & we are prepared for it . Since we lived in Kingwood for 6 years & never saw any ice , or snow plows , how in the world do all of you cope with this weather? Snow shovels are every where here, but where in Texas do you buy a snow shovel or for that matter salt for your driveways & walks ? I would invite all of you to come here till your "bad weather" passes , but like I said we have ice & 7 inches of snow with more on the way & our temperature was - 4 this morning at 7 am with the wind chill taking it to a -17 degrees . The 31 degrees Houston had this morning sounds like spring to me (LMAO) , good luck with your bout of winter & let me know how all of you get through it. 4951
I was actually scared to drive to work this morning....does not make me an idiot though. I have lived in kingwood for 25 years. Idk how to drive in ice, snow or even know how to tell what black ice is. I didn't grow up, up north! 4951
our channel 19 FOX net work had a good 10 minutes on Houston weather this morning , the other channels didn't say much except the entire golf coast is having some unexpected winter weather that is really unusual for that area. Here in Kentucky we get winter every year (LOL) so we expect snow & ice for at least 3 to 4 months out of the year , sometimes more & sometimes less. 4951
@lola: Most folks in Kentucky can't spell it, it would have to be ky.com (yes, like the jelly) I see is already taken, or along the lines of kintuky or cantuky depending on the area you are fron.
