Now the kids don't want to go to a Vegas, which I totally get cause they are 17. Where would be a good Texas place to go that doesn't get crazy crowded during SB? Sea World? I really don't like crowdsEmoticon Suggestions please! 4951

Not Sea World.

Your kids are old enough to google and find some destinations that fit your budget. Have them take some ownership in the trip. 4951

Sea World is the pits during high volume season (but it's a fun place in off season!). Be more specific. What interests does your family have? Sightseeing? Camping? Adventure parks? Museums? If you really want to have some fun and don't mind driving (and REALLY want to get away), hit up New Orleans, Big Bend, or jump on over to a secluded beachfront such as Navarre Beach, Florida! If you want to stay within Texas, there are some fun places in Dallas. 4951

Since your kids are older, New Orleans might be good.  Their St.  Patrick's Day parade in March 15. 4951

Send them over to my place. I have enough housework and yardwork to keep them occupied through spring break. 4951

We enjoy heading up to Colorado for some skiing.  Breckenridge is a huge mountain and there is lots to do. 4951
