Just wondering because it's getting old and I'm tired of feeling obligated.  I still hear it all day, every day.  Yes, the New Year passed 2 weeks ago.  It's time to move on with the year and go back to saying "hello, how are you" or something similar.  4951

@cgm10sne1: At what point is having your Christmas stuff still up considered ridiculous?  On the way home from work, there is a gigantor white reindeer still up in Forest Cove.

@thegoodwife: If it makes it to Feb, there is a good chance it could make it all year but I have to imagine that some relative was either offshore or deployed and is about to come home for the Christmas stuff to still be up now.

@TexasTideFan: That's cool, but then I would say they should close the shades/curtains and enjoy it for themselves.  For the rest of the world, it's over and time to move on with that, as well.  4951

Im still seeing people say it but its in situations where this is the first time they have seen that person or group since the new year rang in. Many groups are just now getting back into their schedules and just being friendly. 4951

@Burnsway: I ask them how their holidays were now if I haven't seen them.   Happy New Years was for about 2 days after.
