I am having a problem with my bath towels all having an odor. We hang up them up after using them to air dry so they don't get smelly, I do a second rinse when washing them even. The odor is like when you leave a wet beach towel in the bag only to find it a week later! Yuck!

Has anyone else had this problem and if so what did you do to remedy it?

Thanks 4951

It's a front load washer, we clean it regularly and the towels were like this with our top loader. 4951

Wash your towels like you normally do but add a cup of vinegar to the load.

Wash in hot water

I mix Borax in all my laundry as a booster. That stuff works miracles. 4951

If that doesn't work, try using Woolite.   That's what I use for wetsuits and dive gear.  4951

Also, make sure your dryer is completely drying the load of towels. If it is too full and the towels are thick, they will come out a little damp. That can also add to the stinky smell. A lent trap clean out should also help with that problem. 4951
