Okay, who does the best hair in Kingwood.  I have really obnoxious thick hair that is unruly.  I have not been happy with the last few cuts that I have had and it's time to tame the wooly mammoth again.  Any suggestions?  Has to be a reasonable price though.  Nurses aren't made out of money and I haven't won the lottery that I know of. I agree all of the services are overpriced. Usually get a partial highlight that is around 100 after a tip. And that was at a chain. Won't go back. I also have thick course wavy hair. I think it is trial and error. Good luck . 4951

I also have thick wavy hair.  I always  had to blow dry & use a curling/flat iron. I brought a pix of the hair cut & she did it exactly, not only that I can either blow dry it, it looks great without using the curling iron or let it dry naturally & use the curling iron/flat iron.   I will gladly give you her name. 4951

@topcat, that 40 is just for a cut?? I think they should charge by the difficulty of the cut. I always have a blunt cut bobbed or long. I'll go to a fantastic SAMs for a 13 dollar cut but splurge on my color. 4951

I am so cheap I color my own hair. I also receive compliments on the color.  HI/Low lighting is something different, but to cover the whole head I do it myself.... 4951

@thegoodwife: I color my own hair too.  Once in a blue moon I will get some hi lights in it and that is when I go to the professionals.

@cgm10sne1: Yep. I do my own when it's easy enough, but need a pro for layers. I don't go very often. Maybe once a year.

@BowtieGuy We can't wait, either! We could always do a haircut/moonshine party at @mpjp0907 's house. Make it happen! 4951

Great idea to have a hair party @bowtieguy to build friendships and clientele! @topcat, I do my own highlights and lowlights for six months. Then a pro steps in every .7 months for a splurge. I do a decent job from a box and a cap for 12 buckaroos! I'm due a hair cut and see a bob in my near future. I have good professional scissors, they just need sharpening! This I would never attempt. 4951
