We have a small adult to child ratio, a full curriculum for each age group,and an experienced and loving staff ready to care for your child's first steps.

We are a FULL PRESCHOOL and DAY CARE providing weekly and daily childcare for infants and children 6 weeks old to age ten.

First Step University Childcare is Kingwood family Owned and Operated. Owner / Direct or David Perucca is a retired Child / Family Therapist with 20 years of experience. Owner / Program Director Jean Perucca has worked as a Child Care Provider / Coordinator at West Lake Houston YMCA for 12 years.

We are located at the entrance of Kingwood Dr. close to Cici's Pizza and Sears Hardware.

With almost 3 years behind them, 1^st Step University Childcare in Kingwood continues to grow and add new programs to its already successful operation. Their policy to offer both full time and part time child care gives parents flexibility in their busy schedules. In addition, they offer a full curriculum for all ages including a full pre-school program.

Alex Lyttle, their new preschool teacher has a world of experience and expertise. Mrs. Lyttle has been a bi-lingual pre-school teacher for 11 years. She has her CDA, certified in child development associates and her child daycare management certification. She is currently attending North Harris Community College majoring in early childhood. Married with 3 children, she was born in the Dominican Republic

and recently moved to Kingwood and loves to travel and read. Alex is a soft spoken, kind and gentle teacher with a gift to teach and lovingly care for children. When asked what she loves most about teaching she states, "I like to see how they develop their creativity. The reason I like working with children is because it makes me feel good to know that I can help lay the foundation for their education."
